The Jambox Changezine

I printed up about 300 copies of this comic back in 1980, after months of work drawing and writing it. It was just one of the many ways I tried to publicize my first band to the world.

The viewpoint of this comic, and the band itself, was that little kids were the only natural music fans in the world. At the time, we remembered being little kids pretty well, we thought, and regarded childhood as a time when we all know far more and far less than adults were ready to concede. There's a little feminism mixed in there, too.

Mostly it's a bunch of in-jokes and cornball humor, all under the heavy influence of Parliament/Funkadelic philosophy.
